Lessons are conducted in the environment in which your dog needs to be to trained. Learning behaviors in your living room proves to be less than effective if the need for training and/or behavior modification awaits you in another area.

Dog Academy is equipped with knowledge obtained by handling thousands of dogs, in different arenas, throughout the 26 years of experience and can advise with just a simple phone call, the next advisable steps of action.
Day School
Just like school! Bring your pup in the morning for tutoring and recess and pick up a trained, tired pup in the afternoon. Receive daily instructional videos of YOUR pup executing behaviors for your homework practice. Continuing Educaton Classes and private lessons are required to ensure the training of the owner as well as the dog.
Board & Train
Our immersion based board and train option gives your puppy or dog the best paw forward in training! If you do not have the time to train your dog each day, let us do the work in our in-home environment. Continuing Education Classes and private lessons are required to ensure proper training of the owner.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great way to tackle environmental issues your dog may be encountering at your home or while in a public setting. We recreate unwanted behaviors in a safe way in order to correct them, while giving you hands on solutions for problematic activity. These work well with and are suggested for aggressive behaviors.
Private Lessons are included with Board & Train and Day School and can be bundled with Group Classes.
Aggression Training
Do you struggle with your dog becoming reactive or aggressive with people or other dogs/animals? Let us help you help your dog. We recreate the behaviors and work with everyone in (or out of) your home.
Group Classes
Group Classes are a fantastic choice for the owner who wants to provide hands on training for their companion. Held on Sunday evenings at 5PM.
Group Classes can be bundled with Private Lessons.
Snake Aversion
Does your dog love the outdoors? We help prepare them for the dangers of poisonous snakes.

We are located in Lynn Haven, Florida. Remote training done in PSJ (and the surrounding areas) on Wednesdays.
Who We Are
Dog Academy LLC was born in January of 2022 after decades of working with other trainers and companies, Andrea decided to take a leap of faith and begin her own journey. Though not new to the scene of dog training, training the public, training other trainers, or running a business, Andrea was new to business ownership. Every year has had its own challenges, successes, and learning experiences. With the help and guidance of other business owners (some are clients today), faithful, happy clients, and trial and error, Dog Academy LLC has become a name heard and respected in and around the Bay County area.
Our Vision
To educate not only our canine companions but to ensure the education of the dog owners in our area and beyond.
To build a family unit of well behaved dogs to commune in our home as your dog’s home away from home for training and play days, and to offer boarding when owners must commute without their dog.

Andrea with Dog Academy is the dog whisperer! We saw dramatic improvement with our high energy pup’s behavior in one lesson and continued results with our subsequent lessons. Amazing service! I had 2 very reactive miniature schnauzers who were not a joy to walk….AFTER 1 SESSION, they do not react, bark, lunge, pull, etc. Now walks are not stressful and embarrassing….now we actually have people commenting on our well behaved dogs..never thought it would be possible! Dog Academy gets 10+ stars from us. The weeks that our puppy Milo spent in training were the best thing we could have done for him. He learned so much and was so much better for us at home. She took him from a noise-sensitive, aggressive puppy and transformed him into a calm, well-mannered member of our family, even giving him two extra weeks of training to make sure he was truly ready. I just got my dog back from training, and, it was so worth it! Five weeks felt like forever, but honestly, he’s a completely different dog (In a great way!!). Before, Milo, he was all over the place – jumping, barking, the whole deal. Now, he actually listens! He walks so much better on the leash, and he even waits for me to tell him it’s okay to walk out the door. It’s seriously amazing. If you’re thinking about sending your dog to training, do it!

If you’re reading this, then you must have a difficult or reactive dog and looking for solutions. You may be looking for a cheap solution, but you also may not have time to go with the cheaper option and train yourself. Time is money. Trust me when I say, Andrea is worth her weight in gold. Yes, $2,000 for 5 weeks sounds like a lot. I thought so too. But do you know what costs more than that?? THREE vet bills within 3 weeks because you didn’t recognize your dog’s trigger and it got into a fight with your other dog. Or a vet bills because your dog darted out of the house and was hit by a car. Change your credit card, take out a small loan, do whatever you need to get the training. Not only does Andrea train your dog, she trains YOU. I learned that we were failing our dogs by not properly training them. In the words of Nike…Just do it
