Description

The Immersion Training is a 5-10 week program that provides your companion the time to develop acceptable behaviors and obedience through consistency. This method yields the best results for a well behaved and obedient companion. Your pet will stay in my home, giving the most opportunity to immerse him/her in training almost around the clock.

The first 5 weeks is recommended for puppies up to 5 months of age. The Day School option can be used in lou of, if the owner would prefer. During this time, we start your puppy off on the right paw with Positive Behavior Shaping. Your puppy will learn come, kennel, sit, down, leash walking, wait, socialization, and potty training.

The next 5 weeks will be for juveniles who have reached the teenage or obstinate stage. During this time your companion will work on obedience skills to establish reliability off of leash with known commands, adding extensions, distractions and finishing touches such as loose leash walking to heel, kennel to bed, outings to public places, niceties such as going to their bed when the doorbell rings and boundary training.

Late start? That is ok! We can custom tailor a program that is right for you and your dog. In most cases a reliable come, bed, sit, down, heel, and wait are obtainable in a 5 week program.

When enrolled in the Board and Train program, follow up lessons in your home are included. If you’re having trouble being firm enough with your dog at home to maintain the skills they have learned or if your dog develops new issues that you need help with, we are but a call away.
